RICHI cattle feed pelleting line is designed for ruminants and can process high-fiber formulations containing 30%-80% hay meal. The entire production line has an hourly output of 1-40 tons and is suitable for beef cattle, dairy cows and calves feed manufacturing.

Forage pretreatment
Baled straw and hay are loosened by bale breakers and chopped into 3–5 cm fragments for uniform processing. A cylindrical primary cleaning screen and permanent magnet cylinder efficiently removes stones and metal contaminants to secure stable, continuous follow-up production.
Grinding process
Materials after impurity removal go into water-drop hammer mills equipped with forced feeding. Curved scraper plates feed materials evenly to grind to 3–5 mm. The fineness of the fine powder directly affects the uniformity of mixing and the hardness of the particles, and must be strictly controlled.
Ingredients & Mixing
Typically, roughage, concentrates and premixes are precisely weighed based on custom feed formulas. Industrial ribbon blenders evenly blend lightweight roughage with heavy grain concentrates, and liquid molasses can be easily incorporated to enhance overall feed palatability.
Pelletizing & forming
Homogenized feed passes through an anti-bridging hopper equipped with counter-rotating twin shafts before being force-fed into the pelleting chamber. Only a minimal volume of steam is required; friction-generated heat softens lignin, allowing roughage components to bind naturally into solid pellets.
Cooling process
Fresh hot pellets at 60–80°C enter an octagonal counter-flow cooler. Upward-blowing cool air dissipates excess heat and moisture, bringing pellet moisture content down below 12% at ambient temperature. This avoids stockpiling agglomeration and inhibits feed mold growth.
screening & packaging
We run cooled pellets through vibrating screens and recycle undersize powder for re‑pelleting. Meanwhile, our workers accurately weigh, seal and pack qualified pellets into bags. Moisture-prone forage pellets require dry, ventilated storage with pallets underneath stacking piles to prevent dampness.
