Pig Feed Production Line

Customized pig feed production line
RICHI manufactures standalone machines and complete full production lines. Pig feed accounts for the largest share among livestock and poultry feeds with fully mature manufacturing technologies. We tailor production layouts, ring die specifications and grinding fineness to match your exact production needs.

Capacity
1-120T/H

Target Livestock
Whole-stage Pig Feed

Pellet Size
2.5–6.5mm
Some clients start from an empty field. Others already have a building with a low roof—under 6 meters—and need a creative layout. Our approach? We design from your production goals backward: feed types, local raw materials (corn, wheat, rice bran, DDGS, cassava), future expansion. No “one-size-fits-all.” Just an engineered system that runs hard, stays stable, and makes you money year after year.
Core Advantages of This Production Line
Customized layout: Tailored configurations based on each farm’s raw materials and production goals, no one-size-fits-all generic solutions.
Modular assembly: Flexible combination of cleaning, crushing, batching, mixing, pelleting, cooling and packaging modules.
Optional automation: Fully automatic, semi-automatic and manual operation modes available based on budget and staffing.
Adjustable grinding fineness: Simply swap screens to produce fine powder for nursery feed or coarser material for finishing rations.
Full turnkey service: Complete coverage from layout design to on-site installation and commissioning.
Our video showcase
From raw material intake to finished feed pellets, our ensures precision, efficiency, and consistent quality at every stage. Below are demonstrations and on-site processing videos of the pig feed production line equipment we have delivered from around the world.
Feed Types & Formulations
Feed formulation drives everything—equipment selection, conditioning parameters, pellet quality. Here’s what your line can produce, from creep feed to finishing rations.

Full Pig Feed Production Line Process
From truck arrival to bagged feed—here’s how raw ingredients become finished pig pellets. Each step matters. Oversize the wrong conveyor, undersize the conditioner, and you’ll choke a 30 t/h plant with a bottleneck that costs thousands per day.

01
Raw Material Pretreatment
Truck intake pit → bucket elevator → drum pre-cleaner (removes stones, rope, paper) → permanent magnet (traps iron) → storage silos or bins. First line of defense for equipment protection.
02
Grinding
Material flows to hammer mill via variable-speed feeder. Screen size matched to feed type: fine (1.2 mm) for piglet feed, coarser (2.5–3.0 mm) for finishing rations. Negative-pressure system aids discharge.
03
Ingredients & Mixing
Computer-controlled batching system weighs each ingredient per recipe. Major ingredients first, micro-ingredients (vitamins, drugs) added later. Twin-shaft mixer—homogeneity CV ≤ 5%.
04
Pelleting
Conditioning with steam (70–110°C)—gelatinizes starch, kills bacteria, binds particles. Pellet mill compresses material through ring die. Compression ratio depends on feed type: 1:5 for piglet, 1:6–8 for grower.
05
Cooling & Crumbling
Counterflow cooler reduces pellet temperature to room temp + 3–5°C. Crumblers break large pellets into smaller particles for piglet feed. Proper cooling = durable pellets that survive transport.
06
Screening & Packaging
Rotary screener removes fines and oversized pellets. Finished product drops to storage bins. Automatic scale bags at 10–50 kg/bag. Conveyor → palletizing → warehouse.
Global Case Details
We’ve built feed production lines across six continents—from 1 t/h farm units to 120 t/h mega-complexes. Here’s a snapshot of what’s possible.

What types of pig feed can be processed?
Two ways to classify what your plant produces: by physical form—pellets, meal, or extruded—and by nutrition level—premix, concentrate, or complete feed. Each demands a different process setup and equipment configuration.
Production Capacity Options
Not every pig feed mil runs the same way. From small farm units to mega‑complexes, each capacity tier brings unique installation challenges, operating habits, and market fit. Here’s what really counts at each scale.

Project Construction Cost
Budgeting for a pig feed plant is more than comparing pellet mill prices. The real cost drivers are often invisible—silos, utilities, buildings, working capital. Here’s what adds up. (We’ve seen two 10 t/h plants with completely different investment numbers.)
Investment for a complete pig feed production line:
US$80,000 – US$40,000,000
